AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING THE
INSPECTION AND AUDITING OF RECORDS OF THE STATE DIRECTOR OF REVENUE
ERTAINING TO CITY SALES TAX AND APPOINTING THE MISSOURI STATE
AUDITOR TO CONDUCT SUCH INSPECTION AND AUDIT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, this city has adopted a city sales- tax as authorized
by Missouri law, and
WHEREAS, this city desires an inspection and audit of the
records of the State Director of Revenue pertaining to the
dministration, collection and enforcement of the city sales tax
and such inspection and audit is authorized by Missouri law, and
WHEREAS, this city desires to appoint the Missouri State
Auditor to conduct such inspection and audit on behalf of the city
nd the Missouri State Auditor is willing to conduct such. inspection
nd audit ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
ITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
ANIL Section 1. That this city have conducted on its behalf an
nspection and audit of the records of the state Director of Revenue
ertaining to the administration, collection and enforcement of the
ity sales tax.
Section 2. That the Missouri State Auditor, be and hereby is
ppointed, authorized, empowered and directed to conduct such
nspection and audit on behalf of the city.
Section 3. That the Mayor of the city and the City Clerk be
nd hereby are authorized and directed to execute such. applications
s may be required to be filed with the Director of Revenue and
uch additional documents as may be required to carry out the
ntents and purposes of this ordinance.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
ull force from and after its passage and approval.

As authorized by Missouri Statutes, the City of
Jefferson desires to inspect and audit records of
the State Director of Revenue, pertaining to the
administration, collection and enforcement of the
City Sales Tax. This City has appointed the
Missouri State Auditor to make such inspection
and audit on its behalf. Please consider this
letter as the application of this City for such
inspection and audit.
Enclosed with this letter is a certified .copy of
the Ordinance adopted by the governing body of
this City, authorizing and directing such
inspection and audit.
