AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION, REGARDING TWO SECTIONS OF ROADWAY IN THE AREA OF THE NEW SHOPPING CENTER. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the City of Jefferson are hereby authorized and directed, for and in the name of the City, to execute a written Agreement with the Missouri State Highway Commission, regarding two sections of roadway in the area of the new shopping center. Section 2. A copy of said contract is hereto attached. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval. The contracts should be accompanied with two copies of the City's enabling legislation, authenticated by the City Clerk. Route 50, Cole County North Ten Mile Drive Intersection Job No. S-R•50•SOA MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT This Agteemenf••made and entered into by and between the State Highway Commission of Missouri, hereinafter.called "Commission," and the City of Jefferson, a municipal corporation in the State of Missouri, hereinafter called "Qty," WITNESSETH: The Commission has,in connection with Project TQR50.3(22), adjusted by relocation, reconstruction, and improvement two portions of the city mad system in order to provide for proper circulation of traffic and the proposed future construction of an interchange. The purpose of this agreement is to release to the Qty these•sections of improved roadway and provide for City maintenance thereof. ® In consideration of the mutual covenants and promises contained herein to be faitf fully kept and performed by the parties hereto and each of them, it is agreed as follows: 1. 1 The Commission hereby releases to the City the improved sections of roadway hereinafter' desc ribed, said sections having been improved by the Commission in connection with w Prroject TQRSO.3(22) at the romanission's sole cost and expense. 2. The Qty shall keep, control, and maintain as parts of the Qty's meet system the herein de=lmd sections of roadway outside the rigbt-of-way limits of Route 50. The gdneral locations of the affected roadways is shown on an attachment hereto marked "Exhibit A" which ,, is incorporated herein by reference. Their detailed locations, including the limits of maintenance to be performed hereunder by the Qty, are shown as indicated on an attachment hereto marked "Exhibit B" which is incorporated herein by reference. North Ten Mite Drive, location number 1, beginning at Station 22+90 thence northerly to Station 14+00 a total length for City maintenance of 890 feet. Country Club Drive,location number 2,beginning at Station 233+65 thence easterly to Station 228+00, a total length for Qty malt•manse of 565 feet.
