N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , ESTABLISHING
PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI ,
FOR 1980.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 115, 001, et seq. , RSMO 1969,
as amended, Municipal Elections are hereby established as follows:
(A) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, March 4,
1980.
(B) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 8,
1980.
(C) Candidates for office shall file their Declaration
of Candidacy with the City Clerk, City Hall, 240 East High
Street , Jefferson City, Missouri, 65101, beginning Monday
December 10, 1979 and closing January 18, 1980 at 5: 00 P.M.
(D) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election
Authority by 5: 00 P.M. , on Monday, January 21, 1980, of the
candidates for offices ices and election dates.
(E) One Member of the City Council from Each Ward shall
be elected at the General Election on Tuesday, April 8, 1980
_> Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
