AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES WITH ROY EICHELBERGER, DBA ATKINS BUILDING MAINTENANCE COMPANY. The Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Roy Eichelberger, DBA Atkins Building Maintenance Company, for janitorial services. Section 1. Said contract shall read in words and figures as follows: (SEE ATTACHED) Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval. I Passed ' Approved AVk esid nt of the uncil Mayor ATTEST: y Cl I CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES This contract, made and entered into this _�_ day of .r , • 19__0 , by and between the City of Jefferson, Missou , a muni ipal Ask corporation of the County of Cole, State of Missouri, hereinafter re- ferred to as "City" , and Roy Eichelberger, DBA Atkins Building Mainten- ance Company, 807 Jefferson Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, herein- after known as "Contractor" . WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain real estate located in the City of Jefferson, and is in need of janitorial services, and WHEREAS, the Contractor is in the business of providing janitorial services, and is desirous of providing said services to the City, NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the amounts set forth below by the City to the Contractor, the Contractor hereby contracts, covenants, and agrees to perform the following services for the following com- pensations, at the following locations: 1. Community Sanitation and Animal Control Divisions, 915 E. Miller Street, Jefferson City, Missouri: Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment for performing in a good workmanlike manner custodial maintenance service, consisting of: twice-weekly empty all waste baskets and clean when needed, empty and damp wipe all ashtrays, clean, sanitize and restock restroom facilities, dry and wet mop the floor areas, stairs and entrance, kitchen and bathrooms, vacuum all carpets, spot clean as needed, dust or clean office furniture including desks, chairs, file cabinets, mm telephones, etc. , and all horizontal surfaces, clean and polish water fountains, spot clean walls, doors, door frames, partitions and other solid vertical surfaces. Monthly dust baseboards, window sills, ledges, picture frames, etc. , spray buff as needed, clean door glass, removing finger prints and smudges. Quarterly scrub and wax tile floors and clean venetian blinds and vacuum drapes. Semi-annually shampoo all carpets. Annually wash all windows and glass doors on both surfaces, strip and wax tile floors, clean all light fixture lens, globes and/or louvres. The City will furnish fluorescent and incandescent lamps but it shall be the responsibility of the Con- _ tractor to replace the lamps and tubes. Monthly consideration: 10$87- 50. 2. Public Works Building, 911 East Miller Street, Jefferson City, Missouri: Contractor to furnish all labor, material, supplies, and equipment for performing in a good workmanlike manner custodial w Y services. Duties to be performed will be the same as specified under the Community Sanitation and Animal Control Divisions. Monthly Con- + ' sideration: $175.38 3. City Hall Building, 240 East High Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, including second and third floors, with first floor entrance hall and elevator: Contractor to furnish all labor, material, supplies, and equipment for performing in a good workmanlike manner custodial maintenance service, consisting of daily, Monday through Friday clean- ing consisting of emptying all waste baskets and clean as needed, empty and damp wipe all ashtrays, clean, sanitize and restock restroom faci- lities, dry and wet mop tile floor areas, stairs and entrance, kitchen and bathroom, vacuum all carpet, spot clean as needed, dust or clean office furniture including desks, chairs, file cabinets, telephones, etc. , and all horizontal surfaces, clean and polish water fountains, spot clean walls, doors, door frames, partitions and other soiled vertical surfaces, clean glass entrance door, removing finger prints and smudges. Monthly dust baseboards, window sills, ledges, picture frames, etc. , spray buff as needed. Quarterly scrub and wax tile floors, clean venetian blinds and vacuum drapes. Semi-annually sham- poo all carpets. Annually wash all windows and glass doors on both surfaces, strip and wax tile floors, clean all light fixture lens- globes, and/or louvres. The City will furnish fluorescent and' incan- descent lamps but it shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to replace the lamps and tribes. Monthly consideration: $372.87. This contract shall continue for a period of one (1) year, on a month-to-month basis and may be terminated at any time by either party by giving the other party a thirty (30) day written notice.
