AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE CODE
F THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY ADDING ARTICLE IV--MISCELLANEOUS
EALTH AND SANITATION REGULATIONS, SECTION 19-30 TATTOOING--
ROHIBITED, TO SECTION 19 OF SAID CODE.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS
Section 1. Article IV--MISCELLANEOUS HEALTH AND SANITATION
(REGULATIONS, Section 19-30 Tattoing--Prohibited, is hereby enacted
and added to Section 19 of the Code of the City of Jefferson, 1978,
to read as follows:
ARTICLE IV
MISCELLANEOUS HEALTH AND SANITATION REGULATIONS
Section 1. Tattooing-Prohibited.
A. It shall be unlawful for any person within the City of
IJefferson, to tattoo a human being or conduct a business of
tatooing, except a physician who is .licensed by the State of
Missouri, may perform. tattooing for medical purposes.
B. Tattooing. The terms "Tattoo" , Tattooed" , or "Tattooing"
(refer to any method of placing designs, letters, - scrolls, figures,
symbols or any other marks upon or under the skin with ink or any
lother substance resulting in the coloration of the skin by the aid
I of needles or any other instruments designed to touch or puncture
the skin.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
