AIN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9298 OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, SECTION 19 BY SUBSTITUTING A NEW SECTION 23-6, COMPOSITION, RELATING TO THE PARKING AND TRAFFIC AUTHORITY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: . Section 1. Section 23-6 of Section 1 of Ordinance 9298, regarding the composition of the Parking and Traffic Authority, is hereby repealed and a new Section 6 enacted in lieu thereof, to read as follows: ® "Section 23-6. Composition. The Parking and Traffic Authority shall consist of nine (9) members. Of the nine members: a. One shall be a member of the City Council. b. One shall be the Director of Public Works or his delegate, c. One shall be the Chief of Police or his delegate. d. Six shall be residents of the City, "The Mayor, with the approval and consent of a majority of the Council, shall appoint the member of the City Council and the six citizen members to serve on the Parking and Traffic Authority. The Mayor, with the approval of the Council, shall appoint a Chairman from among the nine members. "Each citizen member of the Parking and Traffic Commission shall be appointed for and serve a period of three (3) years; except, that of the six citizen members first appointed hereunder, two shall be appointed for a term of one year, two shall be appointed for a term of two years, and two shall be appointed for a term of three years respectively. Any vacancy in the Authority shall be filled by appointment and approval in like manner for the unexpired portion of the term. All members shall continue to serve until their successors shall have been appointed and qualified," Section 2.
