'. 9 �� AN -ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE FOLLOWING ROADWAYS: LAUREL DRIVE FROM LINDEN DRIVE TO MINNESOTA AVENUE, HOLLY DRIVE FROM LINDEN DRIVE TO MINNESOTA AVENUE, MINNESOTA AVENUE FROM 200 FEET WEST OF LAUREL DRIVE TO 150 FEET EAST OF HOLLY DRIVE, LANDWEHR LANE FROM EAST McCARTY STREET TO ST . LOUIS ROAD, ALGOA ROAD FROM TOMAHAWK ROAD TO CITY LIMITS, MARILYN DRIVE FROM BINDER DRIVE TO 500 FEET EAST OF BINDER DRIVE, VIRGINIA AVENUE FROM MISSOURI BOULEVARD NORTH TO DEAD END, NORTH GRANT STREET FROM JOHNSON STREET EAST ON NORTH GRANT STREET TO DEAD END, IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1 . Whereas , it was heretofore found and declared by the City Council , by its resolution, passed and approved on January 7 , 1980, necessary to improve the aforementioned roadways in the City of Jefferson, Missouri , by curbing and guttering with portland cement concrete and necessary appurtenances , and it appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been duly published according to the law for seven (7) consecutive insertions , in the Post Tribune , a daily newspaper, printed and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri , and a majority of the resident owners of property along said sections of Laurel Drive, Holly Drive, Minnesota Avenue, Landwehr Lane , Algoa Road, Marilyn Drive, Virginia Avenue, North Grant Street, liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own a majority of the front feet on said streets 'intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against said comtemplated improvement. SECTION 2 . That the following roadways of Laurel Drive, Holly Drive, Minnesota Avenue , Landwehr Lane, A1goa Road, Marilyn Drive, Virginia Avenue, and North Grant Street , in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the Director of Public Works and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that the cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessment against the real estate abutting and fronting on said comtemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefore, with a maximum assessment of $5. 00 per front foot as provided in the City Charter :'JI rl �l J' Chapter 33 of the Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , 1978 , and of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri , 1978 , and amendments thereto. SECTION 3. The Director of Public Works is hereby in- structed to advertise for bids for this improvement . SECTION 4.
