AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE CODE
r TF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY REPEALING SECTION 35-11 RELATING
O TAXICAB RATES AND SUBSTITUTING A NEW SECTION 35-11 RELATING TO
THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. Repeal Clause. Section 35-11 relating to rates ,
chargeable by taxicabs within this City is hereby repealed.
Section 2. There is hereby enacted a new Section 35-11
entitled Taxicab Rates which shall read as follows:
Section 35-11. Taxicab Rates. It shall be unlawful
for any .person, firm, association or corporation, engaged in
the operation of a taxicab business under a Certificate of
Convenience and Necessity within the limits of the City, to
charge a rate either less or greater than follows :
1': A charge of $1.20 for first 1/5 mile
2. A charge of $ . 20 for each additional
1/5 mile
3. A charge of $ . 25 for each additional
passenger
4. A charge of $12. 00 per hour waiting time
5. A charge of $1. 25 minimum on all deliveries
6. A charge of $ . 40 extra on all grocery hauls
7. A charge of $ . 25 extra on all extra stops
Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
approval.
