HomeMy Public PortalAbout2009-10-06 ZBA Minutes VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS RECORD OF MINUTES Date: October 6, 2009 Location: Village Hall Chairman Sobkoviak called the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. He administered t he oath of office to the new Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals Commissioner, Andrew Heinen ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioner Renzi, Sanders, Kiefer, Seggebruch, Heinen; ex -officio Commissioner Schrack; Chairman Sobkoviak, and Plainfield Fire Pr otection District Absent: Commissioner O’Rourke , Plainfield Park District, Plainfield School District , Plainfield Library District , and Plainfield Police Department Also Present: Mike Schwarz, Planner II Village of Plainfield; Carol Millan, Secretary Vil lage of Plainfield ; and Neal Eickholtz, Baxter and Woodman APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes from the September 1, 2009 Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting were accepted as presented. OLD BUSINESS : None NEW BUSINESS: CASE: 1480 -082009.HPC.V 15311 S. CO RBIN STREET Request: Variance to allow an accessory structure to b e larger than the principle structure Location: 15311 S. Corbin Street . Applicant: Robert Smith At 7:05 p.m. Commissioner Kiefer made a motion to continue the public hearing for Case 1480 -82009.HPC.V (15311 S. Corbin Street) to the October 20, 2009 meeting. Commissioner Renzi seconded the motion. Chairman Sobkoviak called for a vote by roll call Aye: Renzi, Sanders, Kiefer, Seggebruch, Heinen, Chairman Sobkoviak Nay:0 The motion is carried 6:0 Michael P.
