AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND MODIFYING SECTION IV(c) OF ORDINANCE 4883
RELATING TO ASSESSMENTS FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL TO THE
FIREMEN'S RETIREMENT FUND.
IBE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section IV(c) of Ordinance 4883 is hereby
repealed and a new Section IV(c) is enacted in lieu thereof to
read as follows:
(c) Money deducted from every fire department
member' s salary. Every member of the Fire Department
shall be assessed four (4) per cent of his salary, to
be paid in regular monthly payments, which sum is to
"• be deducted from each member's compensation which is
due him every two (2) weeks. Such deduction shall be
done by the Finance Director, who in turn shall give
such amounts to the City Treasurer, who in turn shall
deposit such money to the credit of the Firemen's
Retirement Fund. Every person who becomes a member
of the Fire Department shall be subject to and
liable for such assessment and in becoming a member
thereof shall be conclusivbly presumed to undertake
and agree to pay such assessment and to have it
deducted from his compensation as herein provided.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its date of passage and approval.
