ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, TO EXECUTE ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO VACATE TO THE COUNTY OF COLE THE ALLEY
WHICH RUNS NORTH AND SOUTH OFF OF ANOTHER PUBLIC ALLEY (COMMERCIAL
AVENUE) , SITUATED IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PARTICULARLY
AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the City of Jefferson are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed vacating the
following described property to the County of Cole in the State
of Missouri, to wit:
An alley, 10 feet in width, being part of Inlot No. 349
and part of Inlot 350 in the City of Jefferson, County of
Cole, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
From the southeast corner of said Inlot No. 350; thence
westerly, along the southerly line of Inlot No. 350,
101 feet to the point of beginning for this description;
thence continuing westerly, along the southerly line of
Inlots 350 and 349, 10.0 feet; thence northerly parallel
with the easterly line of Inlot 350, 94.0 feet; thence
easterly, parallel with the southerly line of Inlots 349
and 350, 10.0 feet; thence southerly, parallel with the
easterly line of Inlot 350, 94.0 feet to the point of
beginning.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
rom and after the date of its passage and approval.

Dear Mr. Benton:
Since we own property on both sides and since the alley
is blocked on the north end, we are asking the Public Works
Department to recommend to the City Council the vacation of
the alley behind the Carnegie Building described as follows:
An alley 10 feet in width being part of Inlot No. 349
and part of Inlot 350 in the City of Jefferson, County
of Cole, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
From the southeast corner of said Inlot No. 350; thence
westerly, along the southerly line of Inlot No. 350, 101
feet to the point of beginning for this description;
thence continuing westerly, along the southerly line of
Inlots 350 and 349, 10.0 feet; thence northerly, parallel
with the easterly line of Inlot 350, 94.0 feet; thence
easterly, parallel with the southerly line of Inlots
349 and 350, 10.0 feet; thence southerly, parallel with
the easterly line of Inlot 350, 94 .0 feet to the point
of beginning.
