AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE CODE
F THE CITY OF JEFFFERSON, 1978, BY PROVIDING FOR THE ABOLITION OF
THE OFFICE OF CITY COLLECTOR.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI; AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of 77.370 RSMo
1978, the Office of City Collector is hereby abolished effective
April 21, 1981, and the following Sections of the Code of the City
of Jefferson, 1978, pertaining to the Office of City Collector, are
hereby repealed: 2-114, 2-115, 2-160, 2-161, 2-162 , 2-163, 2-164,
2-165.
Section 2. Subject to the contract entered into between
the City of Jefferson and the County of Cole, as set out in
Ordinance Number 9449, regarding the collection of City taxes by
the Cole County Collector's Office, the duties of the City Collec=
tor, as set forth in Section 2-116 of the Code of the City of
Jefferson, 1978, are hereby transferred to the Finance Department
to be administered by the Director of Finance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
