AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 9216 OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, RELATING TO SECTION
3-10 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, FEES ON SIGN
PERMITS, AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 3-10 IN LIEU THEREOF,
RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. Ordinance No. 9216 of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, is hereby repealed and a new Section 3-10 of the Code
of the City of Jefferson, 1978, is hereby enacted, to read as

"Section 3-10. Permits.
Every person, firm or corporation shall obtain a permit
before erecting or constructing any business sign or
any off-premise sign. The electrical inspector shall
inspect all exterior electrical signs and interior
electrical signs that operate or use one hundred ten
(110) volts or more. The permits shall be obtained
from the building inspector after the payment of a
fee, which shall be twenty ($20. 00) dollars for the
.first sign and five ($5. 00) dollars for each additional
sign on the same premises, plus five ($5.00) dollars
for each transformer on a neon sign and ballast on
fluorescent sign, and for each additional sign. "
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
