AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING
PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON FOR 1981.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 115.121, R. S.Mo. , 1978, as
amended, Municipal Elections are hereby established as follows:
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, March 3,
1981.
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 79
1981.
(c) Candidates for office shall file their Declaration of
r candidacy with the City Clerk, City Hall, 240 East
High Street, Jefferson City,Missouri, beginning
Monday, January 19, 1981, and closing Friday, February
6, 1981, at 5:00 o'clock P.M.
(d) The City Clerk shall notify the County -Election
Authority, by 5:00 o'clock P.M. , on Monday,
February 9, 1981, of the candidates for offices and
election dates .
(e) One Member of the City Council from each Ward,
together with the City Attorney, City Treasurer,
City Assessor and Municipal Judge, shall be elected
at the General Election on Tuesday, April 7, 1981.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
