AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE FOLLOWING
ROADWAYS: TANNER BRIDGE ROAD (FROM ELLIS BOULEVARD TO 1700
FEET SOUTH OF ELLIS BOULEVARD) , HEISINGER ROAD (FROM MISSOURI
BOULEVARD TO 1000 FEET SOUTH OF MISSOURI BOULEVARD) , MICHIGAN
AVENUE (FROM MISSOURI BOULEVARD SOUTH TO LOUISIANA AVENUE) ,
SUN MEADOW LANE (FROM MISSOURI ROUTE "C" NORTH TO OVERLOOK
DRIVE) , OVERLOOK DRIVE (FROM SUN MEADOW LANE NORTH TO CEDAR
HILLS ROAD) AND CRADER DRIVE (FROM SOUTHWEST BOULEVARD WEST
TO SUN VALLEY DRIVE) , BY CURBING AND GUTTERING WITH PORTLAND
CEMENT CONCRETE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Whereas , it was heretofore found and declared
by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on
November 4, 1980, necessary to improve the aforementioned road-
ways in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, by curbing and gutter-
ing with portland cement concrete, and it appearing to the City
Council that said resolution has been duly published according
to the law for seven (7) consecutive insertions , in the Post
Tribune, a daily newspaper, printed and published in the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority of the resident owners
of property along said sections of the aforementioned roadways
liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own a majority
of the front feet on said Tanner Bridge Road, Heisinger Road,
Michigan Avenue, Sun Meadow Lane, Overlook Drive and Crader Drive
intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a
protest against said contemplated improvement.
SECTION 2. That the said aforementioned roadways , in accord-
ance With the plans and specifications submitted by the Director
of Public Works and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and
that the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged and
levied as a special assessment against the real estate abutting
and fronting on said contemplated improvement, and special tax
bills shall be issued therefore, as provided in the City Charter,
and in Chapter 33 or the Revised Ordinances of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, 1977 , and of the Revised Statutes of the
State of Missouri, 1978, and amendments thereto.
SECTION 3 . The Director of Public Works is hereby in-
structed to advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
