AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING
ARTICLE III, SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9509, RELATING TO FINES
FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS REGARDING THE KEEPING OF DOGS,
CATS AND OTHER DOMESTIC ANIMALS, AND ENACTING A NEW ARTICLE III,
SECTION 6, RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Article III, Section 6 of Ordinance 9509 is
hereby repealed and a new Article III, Section 6, is enacted in
a lieu thereof, to read as follows :
"Section 6. Fines .
� "* * * * . Violation of any of the provisions of
j� Article 1, II or III of Chapter 6, shall be deemed a
misdemeanor, and any person convicted thereof shall be
fined not less than twenty-fiveI$25 .00)doliars or more
,1 than five hundred ($500.00) dollars, or shall be sentenced
to a term of confinement of not less than one (1) and not
more than ninety (90) days in jail, or shall be both fined
and sentenced. Each day that the condition exists in
violation of these Provisions constitutes a separate
offense."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
rom and after its passage and approval.
