ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE A WRITTEN
CONTRACT WITH LINCOLN UNIVERSITY FOR RECREATIONAL SERVICES .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized and directed, for and in behalf of the City, to
execute a written contract with Lincoln University for recreational
services.
Section 2. Said contract shall read in words and figures
as follows :
(SEE ATTACHED CONTRACT)
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

In an effort to provide adequate recreational activities for the
�. . youth of the City of Jefferson for the summer of 1981, the City of
Jefferson will contract with Lincoln University for services to he
described. hereinafter for the sum of $15,000.
Lincoln University will provide:
1. A recreation prourarri for 1S0 youth between the ales of
ten and fifteen years of ale to last five weeks. Enrollment
preference will be liven to children who are residents of
Jefferson City. If 150 Jefferson City youth do not enroll, the
balance of the slots available may be filled by non-residents.
2. A recreation prooram �,,hich will he instructive in
nature and meet a variety of interests of the a i;e ;group served.
3. A final report to the City at the conclusion of the
program which will detail its activities and the participation
venerated, and a financial report detailin„ revenues and expen-
ditures.
j` The City of Jefferson will provide:
1. The sum of 415,000 to be paid in tvro payrfients of
$7,500 each on June S and oa June 22.
2. Cooperation from the various City departments, such as
Police and Fire, which can provide support services in prograni-
ming and instruction for the recreation program.
