ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING AS A PUBLIC STREET CERTAIN PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAYS
DESCRIBED HEREIN, RESERVING TO THE CITY AN EASEMENT IN THE RIGHTS-
OF-WAY VACATED FOR SANITARY SEWERS , SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE, AND
PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
AND CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE ALL INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City
aof Jefferson, Missouri, that owners of land adjacent to and
abutting the rights-of-way described herein have petitioned the
AMIL City Council to vacate said rights-of-way described herein as a
public thoroughfare; and,
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not incon-
venience the public or the citizens of the City to discontinue
said rights-of-way as a public thoroughfare, subject to a reserva-
tion in the City of an easement in that portion of said vacated
rights-of-way for the maintenance, repair, location, and reloca-
tion of all sanitary sewer, surface water sewer or public utility
facilities now existing or hereafter to be constructed within
said rights-of-way;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to
discontinue as a right-of-way for a public thoroughfare and for-
ever vacate the following described rights-of-way, subject to the
reservation in the City of the easement mentioned in Section 2
of this Ordinance:
a) An un-named strip of right-of-way 30.0 feet of
even width across the Northwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 12, Township 44N, Range 12W, in the City
of Jefferson, County of Cole, Missouri, the north
line of said 30 foot strip being more particularly
described as follows :
From the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter
of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12; thence
S 87° 04 ' 17" E along the Quarter Section Line, 35.0
feet to the point of beginning for this description;
thence continuing S 87° 04 ' 17" E along said Quarter
Quarter Section Line, 275.0 feet more or less to the
east line of Colorado Street and the point of termi-
nation.
b) The right-of-way of Buena Vista Street, from the
south line of Morris Street to the south line of
Morris-Edmonds Subdivision, per plat of record in
Plat Book 2, Page 24, Cole County Recorder' s Office.
c) Morris Street from the west line of Buena Vista to
the east line of Dulle Street, per plat of record in
Plat Book 2, Page 24, Cole County Recorder's Office.
d). Right-of-way of Kathryn Street, from the easterly
line of Dulle Street to a point 205 feet east of
said easterly line, per plat of record in Plat Book
2, Page 24, Cole County Recorder's Office.
Aft e) All that portion of a public alley running parallel
to and laying between Margaret Street and Kathryn
Street, from the west line of Buena Vista Street to
the east line of Dulle Street, per plat of record in
Plat Book 2 , Page 24, Cole County Recorder's Office.
f) Right-of-way for Dulle Street, from the Northeast
corner, Southwest 1/4, Southwest 1/4, Section 12,
Township 44 North, Range 12 West, to the Southeast
corner, Southwest 1/4, Southwest 1/4, Section 12 ,
Township 44 North, Range 12 West, per plat of
record, in Plat Book 2, Page 24 , Cole County Recorder's
Office.
g) All that portion of Ethylene Street from the west
line of Buena Vista Street to the east line of Dulle
Street, per plat of record in Plat Book 2 , Page 24,
Cole County Recorder's Office.
h) All that portion of a public alley running parallel
to and laying between Edmonds Street and Ethylene
Street from the west line of Buena Vista Street to
the east line of Dulle Street, per plat of record,
Plat Book 2, Page 24, Cole County Recorder's Office.
i) All that portion of a public alley running parallel
to and laying between Ethylene Street and Margaret
Street from the west line of Buena Vista to the east
line of Dulle Street, per plat of record, Plat Book
2, Page 24, Cole County Recorder's Office.
j) All that portion of Margaret Street from the west line
of Buena Vista Street to the east line of Dulle Street,
per plat of record, Plat Book 2 , Page 24, Cole County
Recorder's Office.
k) All that portion of a public alley running parallel
to and laying between Kathryn Street and Morris Street
from a point 210 feet westerly of the west line of
Buena Vista Street to the east line of Dulle Street,
per plat of record, Plat Book 2, Page 24, Cole County
Recorder's Office.

1) A tract of land being a 30 ' strip of unnamed public
right-of-way, being a part of the Southwest Quarter
of the Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 44
N, Range 12 W, all in the City of Jefferson? County
of Cole, Missouri, and being more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
From the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter
of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12, thence
N 020 18' 49" E along the Quarter Quarter Section
Line, 672.97 feet to a point on the west line of Lot
No. 1 of said City View Terrace; thence S 890 05 ' 24"
E, 98. 20 feet to a point on the south line of Linden
Drive; thence N 52° 42' 47" W, 51. 32 feet to the most
southerly corner of Lot No. 12 of said Panorama Hills;
thence N 370 19 ' 45" E, along the easterly line of said
Lot No. 12, 15.00 feet; thence N 890 06 ' 47" W 64. 56
feet to the Quarter Quarter Section Line; thence N 020
33 ' 54" E, along the Quarter Quarter Section Line,
678. 35 feet to the Northeast corner of the Southwest
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12 ;
thence N 870 04 ' 17" W, along the Quarter Quarter
Section Line, 665. 60 feet; thence S 020 35 ' 08" W,
29. 99 feet to the point of beginning for this des-
cription; thence S 020 35 ' 08" W, 667.68 feet; thence
N 870 05' 40" W, 30.00 feet; thence N 02° 35 ' 08" E,
667. 68 feet; thence S 870 05 ' 40" E, 30. 00 feet to
the point of beginning.
m) An existing sanitary sewer line across part of the
Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section
12, Township 44 N, Range 12 W, in the City of Jefferson,
County of Cole, Missouri, the centerline of said
existing sanitary sewer being more particularly described
as follows:
From the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of
the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12; thence N 870
O1' 55" W, along the Section Line 856.09 feet to the
point of beginning for the centerline of said existing
sanitary sewer line; thence N 040 56 ' 02" E, 299.. 22
feet; thence N O10 59 ' 23" W, 257. 17 feet; thence S
420 25 ' 01" W, 139 . 00 feet; thence N 760 52 ' 56" W,
131. 01 feet; thence N 470 19 ' 42" W, 152. 10 feet;
thence N 050 19 ' 42" W, 125. 00 feet; thence N 120
00 ' 18" E, 370. 00 feet; thence N 160 01' 19" E, 313. 85
feet to the point of termination for said centerline.
The above described centerline is a part of a sanitary
sewer line easement described in Book 76 , Page 575 , and
in Book 76 , Page 576 , Cole County Recorder' s Office.
SECTION 2. The City of Jefferson, Missouri does hereby ex-
pressly reserve to itself, its successors, and licensees, and all
public utility companies within the City, an easement in, under,
over, and upon that portion of the rights-of-way as described in
Section 1 of this Ordinance for purposes of repairing, maintaining,
servicing, locating, and relocating all sanitary sewer surface
water drainage and public utility facilities now existing or
hereafter to be constructed within said area.

SECTION 3. The statutory right of reversion in the owners
of the abutting property is hereby confirmed, subject to the
easement expressly reserved in Section 2 of this Ordinance, as
is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri and by operation
of this Ordinance said property shall revert to the adjoining
property owners.
SECTION 4 . This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON SO THAT ALL REFERENCES TO CITY COLLECTOR SHALL
BE DEFINED AS CITY FINANCE DIRECTOR.
WHEREAS , the office of City Collector was abolished by
Ordinance No. 9463; and,
WHEREAS, Chapter 22 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Jefferson deals with the license and taxes of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City Finance Director collects said taxes
under Chapter 22 of the City Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. The definition of "City Collector" in Section
22-3 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby repealed and a new
definition is hereby enacted, to-wit: City Collector. The duly
appointed City Finance Director and any agent or employee.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after the date of passage and approval.
