AN 'ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE COD
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY REPEALING SECTION 23-88,
METERED PARKING SUBSECTION (g) VIOLATIONS (3) , RELATING TO
SUCCESSIVE PARKING IN A METERED SPACE AND ENACTING A NEW SUB-
SECTION 23-88 (g) (3) SUCCESSIVE PARKING IN LIEU THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 23-88 Metered Parking, Subsection
(g) Violations (3) successive parking in a metered space is
hereby repealed and a new Subsection 23-88 (g) (3) enacted in
lieu thereof to read as follows :
(3) It shall be unlawful to park a vehicle in
a metered space for a period of time in excess of
that allowed by the parking meter. Parking for
successive periods of time within the same parking
metered space is prohibited, and parking for suc-
cessive periods of time within the same parking
meter zone is prohibited. For the purpose of this
provision, a zone shall constitute both sides of
the street for a distance of a city block, which
is defined as 417.5 feet, or any city parking lot.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
