ORDINANCE NO. 97 �
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , RELATING TO THE
APPOINTMENT, REMOVAL AND SUPERVISION OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE AND
REMOVING THE POSITION FROM UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 30-3.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Chief of Police shall serve under the
( direction of the City Administrator and the City Administrator
shall make the recommendation for the appointment, removal, or
other terms and conditions of employment of the Chief of Police
subject to approval by the City Council. The office of Chief
of Police will not be under the provisions of Section 30-3 of
the Code of the City of Jefferson, 1978.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after passage.
