AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH COLE COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, INC.
FOR THE USE OF THE RADIO TOWER AND FACILITY AT FIRE STATION
NUMBER 4.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an agreement with Cole County Volunteer Fire
Department, Inc. for the use of the radio tower and facility
at Fire Station No. 4. The agreement shall be in substantially
the same form as the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.

LEASE
THIS LEASE, entered into this �� day ofi
1982 , by and between THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, a Municipal Corporation,
Lessor, and COLE COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT , INC. , Lessee.
Lessor and Lessee agree as follows :
Lessor agrees to allow Lessee to install and maintain a radio
antenna on the radio tower at Fire Station Number Four in the City
of Jefferson , Missouri. The antenna will be installed and main-
tained at no cost to Lessor, and in a manner which does not inter-
fere with Lessor' s use of the tower. The antenna will be used by
Lessee solely as a back-up radio location in the performance of
its function as a volunteer fire department.
® Lessor agrees to allow Lessee access to the fire station in
order to connect its antenna to a telephone line, or other similar
facility, which will be obtained by Lessee at no cost to Lessor.
The purpose of connecting the antenna to the telephone line shall
be solely to enable Lessee to operate its back-up radio system
from a location off the premises of the fire station.
Lessee shall pay Lessor the sum of Thirty Six Dollars ($36 .00)
per year as reimbursement for the estimated utility cost necessary
to operate the back-up radio system. This utility charge is based
upon an estimate of Three Dollars (A3.00) per month and is subject
to amendment upon increase in utility rates charged to Lessor. The
utility charge shall be paid once a year in advance.
Lessee shall hold Lessor harmless from any and all claims and
suits of any nature arising from or out of the installation,
operation or maintenance of the antenna or any other portion of
the back-up radio system.
This lease shall be in effect for one (1) year from the date it
iic signed, and shall be automatically renewed each year thereafter

for an additional year, unless notice is given by one party that
it does not wish to renew the lease. This lease may be cancelled
by either party upon thirty (30) days notice to the other party.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties have hereunto set their hands
and seals on the day and year first above written.
