BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

i SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of

Jefferson, Mss-sours, are hereby authorized and directed, for and
in the name of the City, to execute a written contract between

the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and Meyer Electric, Inc. for
electrical work for the City of Jefferson.
SECTION 2. Said contract shall be substantially the
i same in form and content as that contract attached hereto and
made a part hereof as if fully incorporated herein.
SECTION 3. This ordinance sha 11 take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage and approval. f�

ELECTRICAL SERVICE CONTRACT
This Contract is made and entered into this 19 tk day of
19 gam_, by and between The City of Jefferson,
Missouri, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as
"City" , and Meyer Electric, Inc. , hereinafter referred to as
"Contractor".
Now, Therefore, in consideration of the covenants and
agreements hereinafter set forth, it is agreed as follows :
1. Scope of Work. The work of this agreement consists of
the performance of authorized electrical work for the City of
Jefferson. Work required may involve service, repairs , replace-
ment or related work on all City electrical systems which include
Aft buildings and twelve (12) sanitary sewer pump stations .
IF 2. Contract Period. This contract will be in effect from
May 15, 1982, through May 14, 1983. The City retains the right
to extend this contract for one year. Increases , if any, may be
requested by the Contractor and negotiated with the City thirty
(30) days prior to the contract termination.
3. Response Time. Some repairs under this contract are
of an emergency nature. Contractor is expected to respond within
a two (2) hour period. The Contractor shall have a licensed
electrician on call twenty four (24) hours per day, seven (7)
days per week.
4. Prevailing Wage Law. The principal Contractor and all
Sub-contractors shall pay not less than the prevailing wage hourly
rate for each craft or type of workman required to execute this
contract as determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations of ,Missouri, pursuant to Sections 290 . 210 to 290. 340
inclusive, of the Revised Statutes of Missouri , 1969 .
5. Rates . Services will be provided at the following
rates :
Foreman $28. 96 per hour
Journeyman 26 . 65 per hour
Shopman 12 . 63 per hour

Any labor being performed from 4:30 p.m. through 6:30 p.m. would
be at a rate of one and one-half (1k) times per hour. Any labor
® being performed from 6:30 p.m. through 8 :00 a.m. would be at a
rate of two (2) times per hour.
6. Parts and Material. Normally, the City of Jefferson
shall provide material and supplies necessary to complete the
work. In the event that the City cannot supply certain materials ,
the Contractor shall provide same and will be reimbursed in ac-
cordance with the provisions of this contract. All parts , materials
and supplies shall conform to the applicable provisions of the
1978 National Electrical Code, current and/or any revised code
as published by the National Fire Protection Association.
7. Unclassified Work. Should the nature of a repair
require labor, equipment and/or material not susceptible of
classification under any items scheduled in the contract , the
City can authorize the use of the unclassified labor, in excess
of the number of hours actually worked and the repairs plus
reasonable travel time and will consist of the individuals hourly
rate plus hourly fringe benefits plus employer's payroll contribu-
tions with a fifteen percent (15%) additional for overhead and
profit.
Payment for equipment not susceptible to classification
under any scheduled items in the contract, will be limited to :
a. For equipment rented by the vendor: the actual
rental paid plus fifteen percent (15%) for over-
head and profit.
b. For equipment owned by the vendor, the monthly
rental rate charged by recognized rental organi-
zations times the number of hours the equipment
was necessary, for repairs plus reasonable travel
time from the storage location to the site, all
divided by one hundred seventy six (176) hours .
Payment for material not susceptible to classification
under any scheduled items in the contract, will be applicable
column price plus fifteen percent (15%) for overhead and profit.

Prior to payment being authorized, the Contractor shall
submit an itemized breakdown of the unclassified labor , equip-
ment and/or material. The breakdown shall include information
and documentation sufficient to substantiate the Contractor' s
claim.
8. Inspection. Unless the nature and extent of the work
is known to the City, the Contractor will first receive a request
to inspect the proposed work and provide a written report of the
following to the City Electrical Inspector:
a. Description of the work necessary.
b. A list of the materials , parts , and supplies
needed to complete the work.
c. An estimate of work hours .
9. Authorization to Repair. Once the City Electrical
Inspector determines the estimate of work hours and material,
parts and supplies required are reasonable, the report will be
forwarded to the appropriate department for preparation of a
requisition for the work.
Upon receipt of the purchase order , or purchase order number
for the work, the Contractor may begin work as soon as the
materials, parts and supplies are made available.
10. Normal Work Hours. The quantity of work during
normal work hours for which payment will be made will be the
number of normal work man hours actually performed at the site .
Payment for normal work hours will be paid for the quantity
as above determined at the unit price shown above, which price
includes cost of labor, equipment normally associated with the
type of repair, travel, benefits, overhead, profit , insurance
and all else necessary therefor and incidental thereto .
11 . Overtime Work Hours .
a . The quantity work during the overtime work hours
from 4: 30 p.m. through 6 : 30 p.m. for which payment
will be made will be the number of overtime work
man hours actually performed at the site. Payment
for overtime work hours during this period will be

paid for the uantity as above determined at one
and one-half M) times the unit price, which price
includes cost of labor, equipment normally associated
with the type of repairs, travel, benefits, overhead,
profit, insurance and all else necessary therefor
® and incidental thereto.
b. The quantity of work during overtime work hours
from 6 :30 p.m. through 8:00 a.m. and on Saturdays ,
Sundays and holidays for which payment will be made
will be the number of overtime work man hours
actually performed at the site. Payment for this
overtime work will be paid for the quantity as
above determined at twice the unit price, which
price includes cost of labor, equipment normally
associated with the type of repairs , travel, benefits ,
overhead, profit, insurance and all else necessary
therefor and incidental thereto.
12. Maximum Amount of Contract. Contractor shall not
perform more than Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20 ,000) of work in one
year without first obtaining consent of the City Council.
