AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON , BY REPEALING SECTION 11-3(d) ,
TRANSIT SYSTEM FARES , AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION
11-3 (d) PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT MATTER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Section 11-3 is hereby amended by repealing
Subsection (d) Senior Golden Passes , and enacting a new sub-
section (d) in lieu thereof, to read as follows :
(d) Senior Golden Passes. The city, in respect
to its citizens sixty- ive years of age and over
Aft who have helped to build this community, shall
issue senior golden passes to those citizens
which will entitle their holders to ride the city
buses . These passes shall also be issued to
citizens who are on Medicare due to disability.
The senior golden passes will be issued by
the City Finance Department for the period May
1, 1982 , to October 31 , 1982 , for the price of
six dollars ($6 .00) . At the end of said period
the senior golden passes will be issued for a
period of one year, to expire on October 31, for
the price of twelve dollars ($12 .00) per year.
To obtain such a pass the applicant must submit
proper proof as to age and residency in the city.
After one half of the total potential useful
life of the senior golden pass has expired, the
Finance Department shall sell the passes for one
half of normal cost for the remainder of the
AM useful period.
`'� SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
