ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING REAL
PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS, AUTHORIZING ITS SALE, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:

i SECTION 1. The Council finds that the following real property is
surplus property of the City and as such represents a burdensome
cost, and that the property is no longer needed for any public
purpose:
The northerly part of Inlot No. 424 in the City of Jefferson,
!: Missouri, and particularly described as follows: 1i
Beginning on the westerly line of said Inlot 10 feet northerly of
the southwesterly corner of said Inlot, thence northerly with the j
westerly line of said Inlot 188 feet 9 inches to the northwesterly
corner thereof, thence easterly with the. northerly line of said i
{ Inlot 104 feet 42 inches to the northeasterly corner of said Inlot, j
thence southerly along the easterly line of said Inlot 138 feet 9
inches, thence in a westerly direction along and with the
northerly line of the railroad land to the place of beginning.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to i
t
sell the ' property to the Housing Authority for the original purchase j
price of $19,000.

SECTION 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
i execute a warranty deed relinquishing all of the City's interest in the
i
tract of ground described in Section 1. Said deed shall be sub-
i
stantially the same in form and content as the deed attached hereto as
i
i� Exhibit A.
i SECTION 4• This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its passage and approval.

organized and existing under the laws of the State of Missouri, party of the first part, in consideration of

to be paid by Housing Authority of the City of Jefferson, Missouri
of the County of Cole in the State of Missouri part Y of
the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and by virtue and in pursuance of an ordinance of the
City,Council of said partyof the first part, does, by these presents, GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL, CONVEY
AND CONFIRM unto the said part:`of the second part its heirs and assigns, the
0011 owing described lots, tracts or parcels of land, lying, being and situate in the County of Cole and State of Mis-
souri, to wit The northerl ti part of Inlot , No. 424 in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri: and par cularly described as follows:

The grantors herein received said property by special warranty deed
of February 10, 1.978 and grantor warrants that it has not in any
way encumbered said land during the term of its possession and has
kept all covenants as set forth in said original deed to grantor.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the premises aforesaid, with all and singular the rights, privileges, appurtenances O

and immunities thereto belonging, or in anywise appertaining unto the said part—Y`.-of the second part, and

unto its heirs and assigns forever. The said party of the first part hereby covenanting that it is law-
fully seized of an indefeasible estate in fee in the premises herein conveyed, that it has good right to convey the
eme; that the said premises are free and clear of any encumbrance done or suffered by it or those under whom it
claims, and that it will Warrant and Defend the title of the said premises unto the said ptirt_y _._.of the second
part, and unto its heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whomsoever.
