E ! BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS : Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby 1 authorized and directed to execute a contract with Rape and Abuse Crisis Service to provide shelter, food, and transportation for victims of rape or domestic violence, and to purchase office equipment and provide for office and communication expenses in connection with the furnishing of those services . Section 2. The contract shall be substantially the same in form and content as the contract attached hereto as "Exhibit A" j and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. P g Pp Passed 4 Z Approved 2!e L-� e res defft ot t e ounci Mayor ATTEST: CtyCer I (1 l CONTRACT This agreement is entered into this day of 1982, by anal between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereinafter referred to as "City", and the Rape and Abuse Crisis Service, herein- after referred to as "RACS". The parties agree as follows: 1 . City shall pay to RACS the sum of $2,170 to be used for the purchase of office equipment, for office and communication expenses and to provide shelter, food and transportation for victims of rape or domestic violence. 2. RACS shall provide services for rape victims, educate the public in the prevention of rape, and offer assistance to victims of domestic violence, as described in the proposal attached hereto as Exhibit I and made a part of this contract. 3. If RACS ceases operations, or fails to provide the services, or wishes to sell, lease, loan, trade-in or otherwise dispose of any equipment purchased with funds provided under this contract, RACS must first offer to return the equipment to the City. If the City does not accept the', equipment, then RACS may dispose of the equipment in any manner RACS wishes.
