AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY AMENDING SECTION 23-88(e)
PARKING METERS, HOURS OF OPERATION; HOLIDAYS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 23-88 (e) of the Code of the City of
Jefferson, 1978 is hereby amended by the deletion of the following:;
Parking meters shall be operated in the parking meter
zones every day between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. ,
except Sundays. j

SECTION 2. Section 23-88 (e) of the Code of the City of y
Jefferson, 1978 is further amended by the addition of the
following:

Parking meters shall be operated in the parking meter zones
every day between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. ,
except Saturdays , Sundays and City holidays. City holidays
are as follow: New Year's Day, Harry S. Truman' s Birthday, +
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran' s Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When a legal City
holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall
be observed. When the City holiday falls on a Sunday,
the following Monday shall be observed.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
