ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY REPEALING SECTION 23-1219
PARKING METERS TO BE FREE UPON CERTAIN HOLIDAYS, AND ENACTING A
NEW SECTION 23-121 IN LIEU THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: i
SECTION 1. Section 23-121 , parking meters to be free upon
all Saturdays and parking meters to be free upon all Sundays, is
hereby repealed, and a new Section 23-121 enacted in lieu thereof,
to read as follows:
Parking meters shall be free on Saturdays , Sundays and
City holidays. City holidays are as follow: New Year' s
Day, Harry S. Truman' s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Veteran' s Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas Day. When a legal City holiday falls on a
Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed. When
the City holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday
shall be observed.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
