i ORDINANCE NO.
it AN ORDINANCE RELINQUISHING A CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR UTILITY
PURPOSES OVER LAND LOCATED IN JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI.
aWHEREAS, by an easement dated July 7, 1980, and recorded in Book
261 , Page 400, of the Records of Cole County, Missouri, a utility
I; easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a Municipal Corporation,

to excavate within, install, construct, maintain and repair structures
�j for the routing and conveyance of utilities in, under and through the
i lots, tracts or parcels of land described in Section 1 ;
!` NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
jI JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: j
1 Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement
"
is surplus property of the City and is no longer needed for any public
purpose:
A strip of land 10.0 feet of even width across a part of the east,;
half of the southwest quarter of Section 16, Township 44, Range
11, as per deed of record, Book 104, page 154, Cole County
Recorder's Office, in the City of Jefferson, County of Cole,
Missouri, the centerline of said 10.0 foot strip of land being mor�
particularly described as follows:
From the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of Section 16
thence north 00° 48' 32" east, a distance of 2392.21 feet to a poin�
on the west line of said property, the point of beginning of this
description; thence north 14° 51 ' 35" east, a distance of 3.04 feet-1
thence deflecting to the left 4° 34' a distance of 174.49 feet;1
thence deflecting to the right 40 58' a distance of 26.07 feet to
the point of termination of this description. i
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby,
relinquished, and the City does hereby release and abandon whatever
i
interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to exel
cute any necessary legal document relinquishing all of the City'
® ' interest in the tract of ground described in Section 1.

Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
