AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PROHIBITING THE
PLACEMENT OR OPERATION OF MECHANICAL AMUSEMENT DEVICES ON CITY
PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 26 of the Code of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, is hereby amended by enacting a new section thereto,
numbered Section 26-64, which shall read as follows:
Section 26-64. Prohibition of placing or operating mechanical
amusement devices on City property. No person shall place or
operate any mechanical amusement device on any City
property, except that property controlled and operated by the
Park Board. The term "mechanical amusement device" shall
mean any machine, which, upon the insertion of a coin,
slug, token, plate or disc, may be operated by the public
generally for use as a game, entertainment or amusement,
whether or not registering a score. It shall include such
devices as marble machines, video games, and all games,
operations, or transactions similar thereto under whatever
name they may be indicated.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
