ORDINANCE NO. 9
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, BY AMENDING SECTION 23-92 (A)
AND (B) RESERVED PARKING AREAS. GENERALLY AND DELIVERY VEHICLES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON CITY,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Section 23-92 (a) is hereby amended by repealing
subsection (2) County Jail and enacting a new subsection ( 2) in
lieu thereof, to read as follows :
(2) COUNTY JAIL
Monroe Street, on the east half thereof, south and
within forty feet of the south line of Commerical Avenue;
and on the east half thereof, north and within twenty feet
of the north line of Commercial Avenue ; provided, that the
County Sheriff and his deputies, while engaged in the per-
formance of their duties may park a vehicle within such
area.
Commercial Avenue, on the south half thereof, between
Adams Street and Jefferson Street ; provided, that a law
officer delivering or receiving prisoners at the county
jail may park a vehicle within such area.
SECTION 2 . Section 23-92 (b) is hereby amended by repealing
the subparagraph— dealing with "Commercial Avenue" and enacting
two new subparagraphs in lieu thereof, to read as follows:
Commercial Avenue, on the south half thereof, between Adams
and Monroe, except that portion which is designated as parking
for law enforcement vehicles ; and the south half between Madison
and Jefferson.
Commercial Avenue, on the north half thereof between Monroe
and Madison.
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after- the date of its passage and approval.
