ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE
JEFFERSON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PLANTING OF TREES ON
MONROE STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract with the Jefferson City School District
for the planting of trees on Monroe Street.
Section 2. The contract shall be substantially the same in form
and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage and approval.

COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BY AND BETWEEN
THE JEFFERSON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
AND THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson, hereinafter referred to as "the
City" , has embarked on a beautification program which includes
the planting of trees on Monroe Street, and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson City School District, hereinafter referred
to as "the District" , is willing to participate in such program
by planting seven (7) trees furnished by the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City and the District do mutually agree to the
following:
1) The City agrees to furnish to the District seven
trees in the Spring of 1983 and to assume maintenance of
the trees one year following the date of planting. The City
further agrees to supply to the District the Monroe Street
Tree Planting Plans and Specifications.
2) The District agrees to plant the trees furnished
by the City in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.
The District further agrees to maintain and keep said trees
in good condition for a period of one year following the date
of planting.
This Agreement entered into this day of '1&,t,;/ , 19� .
