ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE JEFFERSON CITY PARK BOARD
FOR SPACE IN THE JOHN G. CHRISTY MUNICIPAL BUILDING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI ,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute a contract with the Jefferson City Park Board for space in
the John G. Christy Municipal Building.
Section 2 . The contract shall be substantially the same in form
and content as that contract attached hereto as Exhibit 1 .
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after the -dateof its passage and approval.

AGREEMENT
This Agreement is made by and between the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, hereinafter referred to as "City", and the JeffersQn City
P k Board, hereinafter referred to as "Board," on this )c day of
1983. The City and the Board agree as follows:
1. Board will move its principal offices from its current building on
Missouri Boulevard to the Municipal Building on McCarty.
2. City will provide to the Board floor space which shall be not less
than 90% of the floor space it has in the building on Missouri
Boulevard. Such space shall be on the bottom floor as shown on
Exhibit A.
3. Cost of construction and initial alterations shall not be paid from
Board funds (neither from Board-generated money, nor from the park
fund subsidy from the City) . Initial alterations are those alterations
approved by the City on or before the date of this Agreement. Board
shall, however, bear the costs of purchase and installation of any
movable room dividers.
4. City shall provide an additional 160 square feet of area, as shown
on Exhibit B, for future Board expansion. Such expansion shall be at
the cost of the Board, unless City otherwise agrees.
5. Board shall, within thirty (30) days after completion of initial
construction and initial alterations complete its move into the
Municipal Building.
6. Board shall have exclusive use of its allotted area consistent with
the present purpose and function of the Board building on Missouri
Boulevard.
7. Board shall have the right to use the conference rooms and
Council Chambers in the Municipal Building on the same basis as
other City departments. Board's use of these facilities shall be
subject to scheduling and other reasonable restrictions.
8. Board shall retain its current authority concerning the use and
disposition of the Board building on Missouri Boulevard.

10. Board shall have the right to make non-structural changes to the
allotted area as it chooses. Non-structural changes shall mean
changes which do not affect supporting elements of the building. Such
changes "shall not interfere with the functioning of the remainder of
the building.
11. The Board shall not be charged rent for its allotted area, but
the Board may pay a pro rata share of operating and maintenance
expenses based on the relation of the number of square feet allotted
® to the Board compared to the total number of square feet maintained
in the Christy Building. Any such charges shall be in accordance
with charges to other city departments also occupying the Christy
Municipal Building.
