A6 ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES AT THE
i�NTERSECTION OF HIGH STREET AND BROADWAY STREET IN THE CITY OF JEFFEt_
ON, MISSOURI, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
3E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
41SSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ECTION 1. Electrically Operated Stop Signs. Whenever electrically
perated traffic signals which exhibit different colored lights
nd signals are in operation at the intersection of Broadway and
igh Street in Jefferson City, Missouri, the operator of motor
ehicles and pedestrians intending to cross said intersection shall
ibserve the following regulations upon the exhibition of the
ollowing signals:
(A) . White arrow.
1. Vehicular traffic facing the white arrow signal
shall turn left from the marked left hand turn
lane on the readway.
2. Pedestrians shall not walk into the roadway of
either intersecting street while said white
arrow signal is showing.
(B) Green 1,iAht.
1. Vehicular traffic headed in a westerly, easterly
or southerly direction shall proceed straight
through said intersection or turn right unless ,
a sign at said intersection prohibits either
course or direction.
2. Vehicular traffic headed in a ,northerly direction
at said intersection shall proceed straight
through said intersection or turn right at said
intersection; provided that, said traffic may
turn left at said intersection from the marked
left hand turn lane on said street, if traffic
headed south at said intersection is facing a
red light signal.
3. Pedestrians shall not walk into the roadway of
either intersecting .street while said green
light signal is showing.
(C) Yellow light.
1. Vehicular traffic facing the yellow light signal
shall slow and come to a stop before entering
the intersection.
2. Pedestrians shall not walk into the roadway of
either intersecting street while said yellow
light .signal is showing.
(D) Red light.
1. Vehicular traffic facing the red light signal
shall stop before entering the nearest cross-
walk at the intersection, or, at any other
point as may be clearly indicated by a visible
line, on the roadway, and said traffic shall
remain in a stopped position until the red light
