ECTION 2. Appointment. The Deputy City Collector shall be appointed
y the Mayor with the consent and approval of a majority of the
embers of the City Council. Said appointment shall be made at the !j
econd regular meeting of the City Council after the general city
lection in the year 1961 and every two years thereafter.
ECTION 3. Term of Office. The term of office shall be for two yea s,
rovided that, the mayor, with the consent of a majority of the
embers of the council, may remove the Deputy City Collector from
ffice at any time. In the event of the death, resignation or
emoval of the Deputy City Collector from office, the mayor, with th
onsent of a majority of the members of the city council, shall havel
he power to make an interim appointment of a qualified person to
serve the balance of the two year term.
31ECTION 4. Qualifications and Bond. The Deputy City Collector shal
e over the age of twenty-one years and a resident of the City. Sai
ersons shall be of good moral character and physically able to
arry out the duties delegated to said office by ordinance, the
yor or the city council. Before entering upon the discharge of th
uties of said office, the Deputy City Collector shall execute. a bona
dentical in the amount, conditions, terms and surety provisions
etreof to the bond required to be executed by the City Collector.
ECTION 5. Duties. The Deputy City Collector shall act as an
ssistant to the City Collector and shall perform such duties in the
ffice of the City Collector as the City Collector may direct.
ECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect on
pril 18, .1961.

N ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBERED 6909, 69952 7010 AND 70111
ERTAINING TO THE SALARIES AND COMPENSATION OF ALL ELECTIVE OFFICIAL ,
POINTIVE OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOUR ,
ND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO -THE SAME SUBJECT.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOUR ,
S FOLLOWS:
ECTION .l. Ordinances numbered 6909, 6995, 7010 and 7011 of the
ity of Jefferson, Missouri, pertaining to the salaries and
ompensation of all elective officials, appointive officials and
mployees of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, be and the same are
ereby repealed.
ECTION 2. Compensation of elective officials. Hereafter the i
ollowing elective officials of the City of Jefferson City, Missouri;
all receive the following compensation for the performance of theirll
uties, and as specifically mentioned herein, the following amounts �I
s expense accounts to cover expenses incurred by them in the perfo nce
f their official duties:
(a) The Mayor shall receive EYie sum oT: Two Hundred__U2W.'UU
(Dollars per month as his salary. In addition to the salary stated, (,
;!the Mayor shall receive the sum of Seventy Five ($75.00) Dollars pe
month as an expense account for his office.
(b) The City Marshall shall receive the sum of Four Hundred
Fifty ($450 .00) Dollars per month as salary. In addition to the !�
salary stated, the City Marshall shall receive the sum of Seventy
($70.00) Dollars per month as an expense account .
(c) The City Attorney shall receive the sum of Three Hundre
( Sixty ($360.00) Dollars per month as his salary. In addition to
Ithe salary stated, the City Attorney shall receive the sum of One
Hundred ($100 .00) Dollars per month as an expense account to defray
expenses for secretarial service connected with his office.
(d) The Police Judge shall receive the sum of Two Hundred
Eighty ($280.00) Dollars per month as his salary. In addition to tie
salary stated, the Police Judge shall receive the sum of Twenty
($20 .00) Dollars per month as an expense account.
(e) The City Treasurer shall receive the sum of One Hundred
i� ($100.00) Dollars per month as his salary. In addition to the
salary stated, the City Treasurer shall receive the sum of Twenty
Five ($25.00) Dollars per month as an expense account.
(f) The City Assessor shall receive the sum in fees equal
to two-thirds (2/3) of those paid to the county assessor for
merchants' and manufacturers' lists returned and for making
assessments and returns of lists on personal property.
(g) The City Collector shall receive the sum of Six Hundred
( Fifty ($650.00) Dollars per month as his salary. In addition, he
( shall receive, on all delinquent taxes, a sum equal to two (2%) per
cent of the amount of said delinquent taxes and the penalty thereon
which shall be added to the amount owed by the delinquent tax
payer and shall be paid by the person paying the taxes. In additio ,
the sum of One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars shall be available
annually for the purpose of paying such additional part-time help,
iat the rate of ($ ) Dollars per hour, as the Collector
' shall require in the efficient operation of said office.
(h) Members of the City Council shall receive the sum of
Seventy Five ($75.00) Dollars per month as salary. In addition to
the salary stated, members of the City Council shall receive the
j sum of Fifty ($50 .00) Dollars per month as an expense account.

SECTION 3. Compensation of appointive officials and employees.
l Hereafter the total compensation to be paid to the appointive offi -
als and employees of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for" the
performance of their duties as prescribed by law shall be paid as
follows:
I� (a) The City Clerk shall receive the sum of Four Hundred
jFifty ($450.00) Dollars per month.
(b) The assistant City Clerk shall receive the sum of Three
IiHundred Twenty Five ($325.00) Dollars per month.

'1 (c) The Deputy City Collector shall receive the sum of Four
( Hundred ($400 .00) Dollars per month. '
(d) The City Engineer shall receive the sum of Six Hundredl�

I', the City Engineer shall receive the sum of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars
i► per month as an expense account.

(f) The Street Commissioner shall receive the sum of Four
undred ($400.00) Dollars per month and the use of a city owned

(g) The City Physician shall receive the sum of Two Hundred

(h) The Chief Inspector of the City of Jefferson, and the
