(y) The regular firement shall receive the sum of Three
Hundred Fifteen ($315.00) Dollars per month after they have been
employed for a period of three months, and for the first theee
months' service, they shall receive the sum of Three Hundred ($300. 10)
Dollars per month.
(z) The Police Captains in the Police Department shall
receive the sum of Three Hundred Fifty ($350.00) Dollars per month. 1
(aa) The Police Lieutenants in the Police Department shall
receive the sum of Three Hundred Forty Five ($345-00) Dollars per
month.
(bb) The Police Sergeants, including the desk sergeant and
( the traffic sergeant, shall receive the sum of Three Hundred Thirty
Five ($335.00) Dollars per month.
(cc) The Police Corporals shall receive the sum of Three
Hundred Twenty Five .($325.00) Dollars per month.
(dd) The regular patrolment and traffic officers in the
Police Department shall receive the sum of Three Hundred Fifteen
($315.00) Dollars per month after they have been employed for a
period of three months, and for the first three months service,
they shall receive the sum of Two Hundred Ninety Five ($295.00)
Dollars per month.
(ee) Temporary policemen shall receive the sum of Five and
one-half ($5.50) Dollars per day.
(ff) In addition tothe salaries mentioned above, the Chief ( f
Police, traffic officers and all city policemen, regardless of rank
hall be paid the sum of Fifteen ($15.00) Dollars per month as an
expense allownace for the purchase of uniforms and clothing.
(gg) Street Department laborers shall be paid at the rate
of one Dollar and Sixty Five ($1.65) cents per hour, with the hours
of labor to be regulated by the Street Commissioner.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect on an
after the 18th day of April, 1961.

11DISCONTINUING AS A PART OF THE PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE A PART OF ALLEN
�AVENUE IN SUNSET PLACE ADDITION, AND A PART OF A TRACT OF LAND
DESIGNATED AS HAYS PARK, SUNSET PLACE ADDITION, AS OF RECORD IN PIX
,IBOOK 2, PAGE 40, COLE COUNTY RECORDER' S OFFICE AND AUTHORIZING AND
11DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, TO EXECUTE
ALL NECESSARY INSTRUMENTS TO THE OWNERS OF THE ADJACENT LOTS TO AN
FOR SAID PORTION OF SAID STREET AND SAID PARK SO VACATED, AS THE
PARTIES ENT ITLED�THERETO$ AS SHOWN BY THE RECORD TITLE TO SAID ADJACENT
AND ABUTTING PROPERTY AND DECLARING A REVERTER TO THE RESPECTIVE OWNERS

WHEREAS: It has been shun to the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, that the owners of thatportion of Allen Avenue and Hays !i
Parkin Sunset Place Addition, hereafter described in Section 1 of
this Ordinance, have used, improved and occupied and are now using-
and occupying said abutting land, so that portion of Allen Avenue
and Hays Park has ceased to be of any use or benefit to the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, and that it would not inconvenience the public
or the citizens of the City of Jefferson, Missouri to discontinue and
vacate said portions of said street and said park, therefore, l
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council of the City"!
of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and expedient to vacate
and discontinue those parts of Allen Avenue, more particularly
described as:
(a) Beginning at a point 722 feet north of the south line of
Sunset Place Addition, and 3 feet west of the west extended line
of lot 62, Block 1, Sunset Place Addition, as of record in Pla
Book 2, Page 40, Cole County Recorder' s Office, said point of
beginning being 40 feet north of and perpendicular to the cent r
line of a concrete pavement; thence south 76 degrees and 48
minutes east and parallel to the centerline of said concrete
'pavement 50 feet more or less to a point that is 40 feet northl
of and perpendicular to the centerline of said pavement at
the point of beginning of a curve to the left; thence on a curve
having a radius of 93.92 feet to the northerly line of Allen i
Avenue; thence westerly along and with the northerly line of
Allen Avenue to the southeasterly corner of lot 10, Block 4,
Sunset Place Addition; thence south 13 degrees and 12 minutes
west, 42 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
(b) Beginning at a point 807 feet north of the southerly lineif
q of Sunset Place Addition and 12 feet east of the west extended II
line of lot 74, Block 1 Sunset Place Addition as of record in ,
Plat Book 2,' Page 40, Cole County Recorder' s Office; thence inlf
a direct line to the southeasterly corner of lot 185, Block !I
4, Sunset Place Addition; thence northwesterly along and with
and with the northeasterly line of Allen Avenue as of record
in Plat Book 2, Page 40, Cole County Recorders office, to the
southeasterly corner of lot 194, Block 4, Sunset Place Additio ,
thence in a direct line to a point that is 900 feet north of
the southerly line of Sunset Place Addition, and 44 feet west f the
west extended line of lot 74, Block 1, thence in a direct line
109 feet more or less to the point of beginning of this
description. i
(c) Beginning at the southeast corner of lot 2 Block 4
Sunset Place Addition, as of record in Plat Book 2, Page 40, !�
Cole County Recorder' s Office, thence in a westerly direction
on a curve having a radius of 72 feet to a point that is 863
north of the southerly line of Sunset Place Addition, and 106 I�
feet west of the west extended line of lot 74, Block 1,
Sunset Place Addition, said point being 30 feet west of and
perpendicular to the centerline of a concrete pavement named
Gene Marlin Drive; thence southerly, 30 feet from and parallels`
to the centerline of said concrete pavement 100 feet, more or
less; thence at right angles to the last mentioned course 35
feet more or less to a point on the northerly line of Allen
Avenue, said point being 760 feet more or less north of the
southerly line of Sunset Place Addition; thence easterly along
