1;14N ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE MONEY FOR THE MONTH OF MAYO 1961
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
1SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the
City Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the following:
REVENUE FUND
For the purpose of paying the salaries of elective
and appointive officers, the sum of--------------------$30,305.00
For the purpose of paying City Engineer, for use of
car, the sum of-------------------- ----------- ------$ 50.00
For the purpose of paying City Marshal, for use of
car, the sum of------------------- ------ ---- -----------$ 70-00
Advance Collectors commissions------------- --------------$---------
Advance Assessors commissions________ ___________________$ 200.00
VEHICLE FUND
For the purpose of paying weekly wages of laborers,
freight and incidentals under the Street
Commissioner, the sum of--------------------------- ----$--
TRAFFIC AND VEHICLE FUND
For the purpose of paying the salary of Street
. Commissioner------------------------------------------$ 400.00
For the purpose of paying weekly wages of laborers,
freight and incidentals under the Street

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
Iand after its passage and approval.

JORDINANCE NO. 7078
JAN ORDINANCE, of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, vacating and
idiscontinuing as a part of the public thoroughfare,part of
lWashington Avenue (now Nebraska Street) in Washington Park Addition
. as of record in Plat Book 2, Page 1, Cole County Recorder's office;
and authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of Jefferson.,
Missourito execute all necessary instruments to the owners of the
adjacent lots to and for said portion of said street so vacated,
a the parties entitled thereto, as shown by the record title to sakd
adjacent and abutting property and declaring a reverter to the
respective owners of said real estate.
WHEREAS: It has been shown to the City Council of the City of Jeff .r-
son, Missouri, that the owners of that portion of Washington Avenue
(now Nebraska Street) hereafter described, in Section 1, of this
Ordinance, have used, improved and occupied, and are now using and
occupying said abutting land so that portion ofWashington Avenue
(now Nebraska Street) has ceased to be of any use of benefit as a
public thoroughfare and that it would not inconvenience the public
or the City of Jefferson, Missouri, to discontinue and vacate said
portion of said drive as a public thoroughfare, therefore,
