Amhk AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 6223 AND
SECTION 933 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
1956, REGULATING TAXI CAB FARES AND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE
PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 6223 and Section
-933 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, 19569
regulating taxi cab fares in Jefferson City be, and the same
is hereby, repealed.
Section 2. There is hereby enacted a new ordinance
regulating taxi cab fares in the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
which shall be known as Section 933 of the Revised Ordinances
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, which shall read in
words and figures as follows:
"Section 933. Rates which may be charged by taxicabs.
On and after the effective date of this ordinance, it shall
be unlawful for any individual, firm or corporation engaged
in the business of operating a taxicab within the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, Lo charge a _rate of fare for services
rendered in the transportation of persons greater than the
following rates or less than an amount which is five (.05o,) cents
less than the rates for first and second passengers only, which
are deemed reasonable and compensable, to-wit:

Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take
