AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING,
AMENDING, AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NO,
5880 BY REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED PROPERTY
FROM A DISTRICT "AM1" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE TO A DISTRICT
"F" HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri., was petitioned in writing for the rezoning of
the land specifically described hereinafter from its
present District "A-1" Single Family Residence to a
District "F" Highway Commercial District, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, referred said petition for rezoning to the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, and
® WHEREAS , the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, after notice and hearing to
all interested parties and appropriate study and consideration
did recommend to the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, that the land specifically described hereinafter
be rezoned as;.petitioned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice
of hearing for the purpose of rezoning to be published
three (3) consecutive days in a newspaper of general
circulation within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last
day of publication having been more than fifteen (15) days
predeeding the date of the hearing by the City Council,
wherein such notice of rezoning all interested persons were
requested to appear before the City Council at the time and
place specified therein for the purpose of attending a public
hearing and expressing their views in support of or in
® opposition to the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning
Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, '
Missouri, has conducted said hearing and heard the views
of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of ,
the land hereinafter described,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as incorporated into Ordinance No. 5880 of the
City, is hereby amended, changed and modified to reflect
the rezoning of the following described land from its
present District "A•l" Single Family Residence to a District
"F" Highway Commercial District:
"All of the land lying east and within a distance
of 625.0 feet of the centerline of U. S. Highway 54
South, (excluding any land lying within Tract "C" of
Southwood Hills Addition, as a plat of said addition
® appears of record per Plat Book 4 at Page 70, Cole
® County Recorder's Office) , lying south of the southerly
line of Tract "D" (of Southwood Hills Addition) and
an extension thereof, and lying north of the northerly
line of the land owned by the Executive Board of the
Missouri Baptist Convention appearing per record in
Book 159 at Page 18# Cole County Recorder's Office."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force and take
effect from and after its passage and approval.
