AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , CHANGING,
AMENDING, AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURIO AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NO.
5880 BY REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED PROPERTY
FROM A DISTRICT "A-2" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE TO A DISTRICT
"E" LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, was -petitioned in writing for the rezoning of
the land specifically described hereinafter from its
present District "A-2" Single Family Residence to a
District "E" Local Commercial District, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, referred said petition for rezoning to the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, after notice and hearing to
all interested parties and appropriate study and consideration
did recommend to the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, that the land specifically described hereinafter
be rezoned as petitioned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice
of hearing for the purpose of rezoning to be published
three (3) consecutive days in a newspaper of general circulation
within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of
publication having been more than fifteen (15) days preceeding
the date of the hearing by the City Council, wherein such
notice of rezoning all interested persons were requested
to appear before the City Council at the time and place
specified therein for the purpose of attending a public
hearing and expressing their views in support of or in
opposition to the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning
Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, has conducted said hearing and heard the views
of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of
the land hereinafter described,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as incorporated into Ordinance No. 5880 of the
City, is hereby amended, changed and modified to reflect
the rezoning of the following described U nd from its
present District "A-2" Single Family Residence to a District
"E" Local Commercial District:
"Part of Outlot No. 72 and part of the northwest
quarter of Section 16, Township 44 North, Range 11
West, more particularly described as follows:
"Beginning on the southerly line of said Outlot
at a point 1108 feet easterly from the southwesterly
corner thereof; thence North 25 degrees 12 minutes
east, 455.0 feet; thence North 72 degrees 46 minutes
West, 520.0 feet; thence South 27 degrees 14 minutes
West, 52#0 feet; thence north 87 degrees 16 minutes
West, 22.0 feet; thence north 74 degrees 35 minutes
East, 28.0 feet; thence north 3 degrees 15 minutes east,
283.8 feet; thence South 84 degrees 46 minutes east,
549.5 feet; thence South 75 degrees East, 160,0 feet;
thence North 11 degrees 14 minutes East, 28.0 feet; thence
North 19 degrees 44 minutes East, 300.0 feet; thence South
81 degrees 50 minutes East, 125.7 feet; thence South 39
degrees East, 84.8 feet to the centerline of a branch;
thence meandering southeasterly with the centerline of
said branch 590.8 feet to the center of Boggs Creek;
thence Southwesterly with the center of Boggs Creek,
1255.3 feet (center of Branch and center of Boggs
Creek are particularly defined on survey by F. E.
Ross in January, 1953 on record in County Surveyor's
® Records in Book 11 at Page 193, County Surveyor's
Office) Cola County, Missouri) to the northeast corner
of ;the property conveyed to Carl A. Schulz by deed of
record in Book 132 at Page 58, Cole County Recorder's
Office; thence North 84 degrees 30 minutes West, 140.0
feet; thence South 16 degrees 20 minutes West, 100 feet
to the north line of U. S. Highways 50 and 63; thence
westerly along the northerly line of Highways 50 and 63
to the point of beginning."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force and take
effect from and after its passage and approval,
