AN ORDINANCE PROV1MNG FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWERS IN SEM DISTF{TCT N0. 102
WITHIN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI*
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION le That the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri., hereby declares
that it deems it necessary for the health and comfort of the inhabitants of the City
and for sanitary and other purposes that there must be constructed as soon as
possible in Sewer District No. 1023 as established by Ordinance, a sanitary Sewer
AND it is orderhd that the same be constructed without unnecessary delays
SECTION 2. Said sewer shall begin at a point on Swifts Highway as of record in
Plat Book 6 Page 65 Cole County Recorderrs Office, said point being 10 feet south-
erly and 39 feet more or less, easterly of the southwesterly corner of Lot 8 South-
west Addition, thence westerly parallel with the northerly line of Swifts Highwa
331 feet; to Station 3 plus 31; thence northerly along the westerly line of Lot ,
128.27 feet to Station 4 plus 79.27• Also shall begin at Station 3 plus 31,
thence southerly and along the westerly line of Lot 27, 191 feet to the Southeast-
erly corner of Lot 29. Also beginning at the point in Swifts Highway opposite Lot
82 thence easterly parallell with the Northerly right-of-way line of Swifts Highway
479 feet.
From the point of beginning., said sewer line shall extend northwesterly across
Lot 8, Southwest Addition and discharge into a temporary sewage treatment plant
until such time as City Sewer facilities become available for the reception of
sewage from this sewer system.
SECTION 39 Said sewer shall be constructed in all respects as provided by Ordinance
and shall be constructed of standard glazed sewer pipe, shall be constructed to
the plans and specifications of the City Engineer.
The septic tank Dosing Chamber and Sand Filter shall be constructed in accord-
ance with Forms E3s17A and E3.17G of 'the Missouri Mater Pollution Boards
SECTION 4e This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage and approval.
