® \� AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATOR OF MOTOR VEHICLES
AT THE INTERSECTION OF MADISON STREET AND CAPITOL
AVENUE AND AT THE INTERSECTION OF MONROE STREET AND
CAPITOL AVENUE, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All persons operating motor vehicles
on Madison Street when approaching the intersectio®
of Madison Street with Capitol Avenue shall yield the
right of way to motor vehicles being operated on
Capitol Avenue which have entered the intersection
of Madison Street and Capitol Avenue or which are
approaching so closely on Capitol Avenue to the
intersection of Capitol Avenue and Madison Street as
to constitute a hazard of collision in said intersection
if the motor vehicle being operated on Madison Street
proceeds into said intersection because the operator
thereof failed to so yield the right of way.
Section 2. All persons operating motor vehicles
on Monroe Street, when approaching the intersection of
® Monroe Street with Capitol Avenue, shall yield the right
of way to motor vehicles being operated on Capitol Avenue
which have entered the intersection of Monroe Street and
Capitol Avenue or which are approaching so closely on
Capitol Avenue to the intersection of Monroe Steet and
Capitol Avenue as to constitute a hazard of collision
in said intersection if the motor vehicle being operated
on Monroe Street proceeds into said intersection because
the operator thereof failed to so yield the right of way.
Section 3. Anyone violating any of the terms of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be 1.n force and
take effect from and after its passage and approval.
