AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SPEED OF AUTOMOBILES AND
f OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI , AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for
the operator of a motor vehicle to permit the same
to be operated at a speed in excess of twenty (20)
miles per hour on:
(a) Swift' s Highway between its intersection
with Jefferson Street and its intersection
® with Carter Street.
(b) Stadium Drive between its intersection with
Madison Street ( Highway 54 South ) and its
intersection with Carter Street,
Section 2. Anyone violating any of the terms of
Section l of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor.
Section 3. All ordinances in conflict with Section
1 of this ordinance shall be repealed, and are hereby
repealed, only to the extent that such ordinances are
in conflict with Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval.
