AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 8880 BY DELETING THE WORDS "LOCAL COMMERCIAL,
COMMERCIAL OR BUSINESS DISTRICTS" FROM PARAGRAPH 15 OF '
SECTION 1701 OF SAID ORDINANCE AND INSERTING, IN LIEU
THEREOF, THE WORDS "LOCAL COMMERCIAL, COMMERCIAL, BUSINESS,
LIGHT INDUSTRIAL OR HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS".
.WHEREAS, the City Council of Jefferson City referred
to its Planning and Zoning Commission a written petition
seeking amendment of the provisions of paragraph 15 of
Section 1701 of Ordinance No. 58809 the Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Commission, upon oral hearing, study and
consideration of said petition, recommended to the City
Council of said city that the amendment requested be made, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said city did cause to be
published a notice of its intention to conduct a hearing
on the recommendation of said Commission, and at said hearing
to either enact or reject legsilation implementing said
recommendation, said notice of hearing being published
within a newspaper of general circulation within said city
for three cpnsecutive days, the last date of publication
appearing more than 15 days prior to the date of hearing, and
WHEREAS, by said notice of hearing all persons interested
in the recommendation of the Commission were invited to appear
and be heard in support of or in opposition to the enactment
of legislation implementing the recommendations and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said city has caused said
hearing to be held at the time and place mentioned in said
notice of hearing and given all persons an opportunity to
be heard in support of as in opposition to the enactment of
legislation to carry out said recommendation, now therefore:
BE MT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Paragraph 15 of Section 1701 of Ordinance No.
5880 is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the words "local
commercial, commercial or business districts" and inserting
in lieu thereof the words "local commercial, commercial,
business, light industrial or heavy industrial districts"t so
that paragraph 15 of Section 1701 of Ordinance No. 5880, as
now amended, shall read as follows:
1115. Parking lots on land not more than three hundred
(300) feet from the bounddy of any local commercial,
commercial, business, light industrial or heavy
industrial districts."
Section 2. In all other respects the existing provisions
of Section 1701 of Ordinance No. 5880, as originally enacted
and heretofore amended from time to time, shall remain the
same.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
