HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD07180 ORDINANCE N0. 7180 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND PROVIDING A PENALTY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Operators of motor vehicles moving in an easterly or westerly direction on U. S. Highways 54 and 63 and the Rex M. Whitton Expressway) intending to make a right turn to proceed along Harrison Street (U. S. Highway 50) , upon reaching the intersection formed by U. S. Highways 54 and 63 and the Rex M. Whitton Expressway with Harrison Street (U, S. Highway 50), shall yield the right of way to vehicles being operated on Harrison Street (U. S. Highway 50) so close to said named intersection as to constitute a danger of collision at said intersection if the operator of the motor vehicle being driven on Highway 54 and 63 or the Rex M. Whitton Expressway proceeded by right turn onto Harrison Street (U. S. Highway 50) without so yielding the right of way. Section 2. Anyone violating any of the terms of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
