AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 564 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI ( BEING ORDINANCE NUMBER 5024
OF SAID CITY ) LEVYING A LICENSE TAX ON VARIOUS BUSINESSES,
TRADES, OCCUPATIONS AND VOCATIONS CARRIED ON WITHIN THE CITY
BY REPEALING PARAGRAPH EIGHTY EIGHT (88) THEREOF, RELATING TO
THE COST OF THE LICENSE TO OPERATE A THEATER OR MOTION PICTURE
SHOW, AND ENACTING A NEW PARAGRAPH TO BE KNOWN AS PARAGRAPH
EIGHTY EIGHT (88) OF SECTION 564 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. Section 564 of the Revised Ordinances of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri , 1956, leving a license tax on various
named business, trades, occupations and vocations carried on
within the City of Jefferson, Missouri is hereby amended by
deleting and repealing paragraph eighty eight (88) thereof.,
levying a license tax on theaters and motion picture shows,
and enacting a new paragraph, to be known as paragraph eighty
eight (88) of Section 564 of the Revised Ordinances of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri , 1956, relating to the same subject.
Section 2 . Paragraph eighty eight (88) of Section 564 of
the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956,
be, and the same is hereby, repealed.
Section 3. There is hereby enacted an ordinance to be known
® as Paragraph eighty (88) eight of Section 564 of the Revised
Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, which shall
read in words and figures as follows, and in all respects be
fully incorporated to all of the provisions of Section 564 of
the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1956:
88. Indoor or outdoor theater or motion picture
shows, each one hundred and fifty ($150.00)
dollars.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval .
