MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO ACCEPT FOR AND IN BEHALF OF SAID CITY A
WARRANTY DEED EXECUTED BY JEAN McGREGOR MAUGHS AND LYNN H. MAUGHS,
HER HUSBAND ON APRIL 13, 1962s BY WHICH 9.9 ACRES OF LAND FORMING
A PART OF NEW MADRID PRIVATE SURVEY NO. 2638, TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH,
RANGE 11 WEST, IN CALLAWAY COUNTY, MISSOURI, IS CONVEYED TO THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
ITO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED, DATED APRIL 18, 19623 ON BEHALF OF SAID
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, TO JEAN McGREGOR MAUGHS, AS GRANTEE,
BY WHICH 10.2 ACRES OF LAND FORMING A PART OF NEW MADRID PRIVATE
SURVEY NO. 26383 TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH, RANGE 11 WEST, IN CALLAWAY
COUNTY, MISSOURI IS CONVEYED TO SAID GRANTEE, SUBJECT TO AN EASE-
MENT OVER THE EASTERLY FIFTEEN (15) FEET OF SAID 10.2 ACRE TRACT
FOR INGRESS, EGRESS, ELECTRICAL AND TELEPHONIC TRANSMISSION
FACILITIES PURPOSES , AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK
OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE A WARRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED
($500.00) DOLLARS IN FAVOR OF JEAN McGREGOR MAUGHS AS A FURTHER
CONSIDERATION FOR THE CONVEYANCE TO THE CITY OF SAID 9.9 ACRE
TRACT OF LAND HEREINABOVE MENTIONED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is
hereby authorized and directed to accept for said City a Warranty
Deed executed by Jean McGregor Maughs, dated April 13 , 1962, by
which 9 .9 acres of land forming a part of New Madrid Private
Survey No. 2638 in Township 44 North, Range 11 West, in Callaway
County, Missouri, is conveyed to the City of Jefferson, Missouri.
Section 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, are hereby authorized and directed on behalf
® of said City to execute a Warranty Deed, dated April 18, 1962,
® conveying to Jean McGregor Maughs, as grantee, 10.2 acres of land
forming a part of New Madrid Private Survey No. 2638, in Township
44 North, Range 11 West, in Callaway County, Missouri, as an
exchange for the conveyance to the City of Jefferson, Missouri of
said 9.9 acre tract mentioned in Section 1 of this ordinance;
provided that the City of Jefferson, Missouri, retain an easement
over the easterly fifteen (15) feet of said 10.2 acre tract for
ingress, egress, electrical and telephonic transmission purposes.
Section 3. As a further consideration for the conveyance of
the 9.9 acre tract mentioned in Section 1 of this ordinance, the
Mayor and the City Clerk of said city are hereby authorized and
directed to execute and issue a warrant in the amount of Five
Hundred ($500.00) Dollars in favor of Jean McGregor Maughs, and

cause said warrant to be delivered with the Warranty Deed referred
to in Section 2 of this ordinance to Jean McGregor Maughs,
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval .
