AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING AS A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY
DESCRIBED PUBLIC STREET RIGHT OF WAY AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
ND THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY
INSTRUMENTS TO THE OWNER OR OWNERS OF THE ADJACENT PROPERTY
TO CONFIRM THEIR STATUTORY RIGHTS OF REVERSION TO THE VACATED
PUBLIC STREET RIGHT OF WAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It is hereby declared by the City Council of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that it is necessary and
expedient to vacate and discontinue as a public thoroughfare
the public street right of way hereinafter specifically
escribed as follows:
(a) A strip of land 30 feet wide, being an unnamed
street situated between Outlots No' s . 94 & 95
on the north and Outlots No' s . 96 & 97 in the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, on the south, and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Outlot
No. 96 in the City of Jefferson,.,Missouri, thence
easterly along the northerly lines'.6f' Outlots N6' s. 96
& 97, to the north line of Lafayette Union Street
Extension (Leslie Boulevard) ; thence east, along
the north line of Lafayette-Union Street Extension
(Leslie Boulevard) to the southerly line of Outlot
No. 94; thence westerly, along the southerly lines
of outlots No' s . 94 & 95 to the southwesterly
corner of Outlot No. 95; thence southerly to the
point of beginning.
(b)A public alley connecting Vineyard Square with an
unnamed street on the south boundary of Outlot No.
94, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot No. 7 of
Vineyard Square Subdivision, as a plat of said
subdivision appears per record in Plat Book 2 at
Page 60, Cole County Recorder' s Office, thence
northerly, along the westerly line of said Lot No.
7, 132 feet to the southerly line of Vineyard Square;
thence westerly, along the southerly line of Vineyard
Square extended, 26 feet to the westerly line of
Outlot No. 94; thence southerly, along the westerly
line of Outlot No. 94, 125 feet to the southwest
corner of Outlot No. 94; thence easterly, along the
southerly line of Outlot No. 94, 27 feet to the point
of beginning.
Section 2. The owners of all property adjacent to the above
escribed public thoroughfare right of ways having petitioned the
ity of Jefferson, Missouri to vacate and discontinue said rights
f way for public street purposes, and the City Council finding
hat a grant of said petition is in the best interests of the
ity of Jefferson, Missouri, it is hereby declared and confirmed
hat the above described public street thoroughfare right of ways
re forever vacated and discontinued as a right of way for public
treets.

Section 3. The rights of reversion to the owners of the
lands abutting said public street rights of way described in
Section l of this ordinance is hereby confirmed as provided
by the statutory laws of Missouri, subject to all easement
ights expressly reserved, and the Mayor and the City Clerk of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, are hereby authorized and
directed in the name of theCity to execute all necessary
instruments to confirm the reversionary rights of the abutting
roperty owners to the land within the public street right of
ways hereinabove vacated.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
rom and after its passage and approval.
