HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD07221 ORDINANCE NO. 7 22 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING A DROP OFF POST OFFICE BOX PARKING ZONE WITHIN A CERTAIN DESIGNATED AREA AT THE WEST CURB OF THE 200 BLOCK OF ADAMS STREET, REGULATIN THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN SAID PARKING ZONE, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. A letter drop off post office box parking zone is hereby established along the west curb of Adams Street between the south curbline of Capitol Avenue and a point on the west curb of Adams Street located eighty five (85) feet south of the south curbline of Capitol Avenue. Section 2. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle to permit the same to be parked within the letter drop off post office box parking zone established in Section 1 of this ordinance except for the purpose of depositing parcels or letters within the post office box located adjacent to said parking zone, i and the operator of a motor vehicle stoping said vehicle in said letter drop off post office box parking zone, for the purpose of mailing parcels of letters, shall not permit said vehicle to be stopped or parked within said zone for a period of time in excess of five (5) minutes. Section 3. Anyone violating any of the terms of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 4.
