AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CREATING
A "TAXI STAND" FOR TAXICABS, AND REGULATING THE PARKING
OF MOMR VEHICLES THEREIN, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Taxi Stand, Missouri Hotel. There is
hereby created and established a "taxi stand" on the
south side of High Street between the east curb of Adams
Street and a point on the south side of High Street that is
forty (40) feet east of the east curb of Adams Street.
Section 2. Use of Taxi Stand. The taxi stand created
and established by the preceding section of this ordinance
shall be used only by the operators of taxicabs waiting
to provide standby service to patrons and guests of the
Missouri Hotel.
Section 3. Prohibited Use of- Taxi- Stand. It is
hereby declared to be unlawful for the operator of a
motor vehicle, other than a taxicab providing standby service
to patrons and guests of the Missouri Hotel, to permit
said motor vehicle to be parked in the limits of the taxi
stand as described in section one of this ordinance.
Section 4. Anyone violating any of the terms of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed, insofar
as said ordinances or parts of ordinances do actually conflict.
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval.
