AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING
ORDINANCES NUMBERED 6253 AND 6316 OF THE CITY OF JIEFFERSON,
REGULATING THE OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON JACKSON STREET
WITHIN SAID CITY, AND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO
THE SAME SUBJECT, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY,
BE .IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinances numbered 6253 and 6316 of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, regulating the operation of motor
vehicles on Jackson Street between Russell Street and McCarty
Street be, and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 2. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for the
operator of a motor vehicle to permit the same to be operated
in a southerly direction on Jackson Street between the inter-
section of Jackson Street with Dunklin Street and the
intersection of Jackson Street with Russell Street.
Section 3. This ordinance shall remain in full force
and effect until Elm Street has been opened up and improved
between the intersection of Elm Street with Jackson Street
and the intersection of Elm Street with Marshall Street; at
which time it shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor
vehicle to permit the same to be operated in a southerly
direction on Jackson Street between its intersection with
Miller Street and its intersection with Russell Street.
Section 4. Anyone violating any of the terms of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
